It didn't matter how much you'd like to deny the fact; it wasn't possible. One couldn't outrun fate and time itself. No one was born free. So why did everyone seek freedom, despite knowing it was unobtainable? The reason was simple: because it hurt to live being chained. Building trust with a person who has known hell itself all their life wasn't bound to be easy or pretty. Hidden beneath the layers can hide the cruelest things. A past a person would want to forever bury. He wore a mask to survive. But what happens when someone sees through it? 'He was supposed to be a savior. Instead, he unearthed every buried scar that I swore no one would ever see.' For a moment he hated having his scars being unveiled. Despite all this, the sacrifices weren't in vain, as the necessary peace was kept. However, a war rages on, and this time, it could end the world. Two secret organizations, the Peacekeepers, who makes it its mission to protect the world, and the Southpaw, who's bent on destroying it. Hiroyuki Watanabe, a fellow Peacekeeper, is part of this war. A soldier, one too young. Along with his team of brave souls, the boy endeavors to end this secret war, before it ends humanity. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Author's Note: This was and still is my very first story. To elaborate even further, it was also my first time writing anything at all. My original intentions were to test the waters and see how it appeals to any and every reader that comes across it.
