There was something about the first game in its field on a platform called the NerveGear trapping a bunch of players in a hardcore WoW server with their actual lives on the line. The box for his headset, the AmuSphere assured that this headset was 100% safe though, so Y/N decided on a whim to pick it up along with a game called Gun Gale Online.

Y/N was flat broke. Then he found out that the game had web extensions that were entirely player run and allowed you to sell weapons to other players for real money.
