Foreword: I've read a decent amount of comics in my days, so I will be honoring certain canon events throughout this story.  (But I'll be doing so in a way that limits spoilers as much as possible for people who haven't read those yet.  Still, just be advised that you may run into some smaller character-specific spoilers.)  There are a select few comic arcs that I don't appreciate (and/or didn't finish) so I may either change their direction or won't be referencing them as canon here.  But overall, I think I've done great justice to these characters I care about.

The Dawn of X has arrived in the Marvel Universe. Xavier and his allies have founded the new mutant nation of Krakoa, promising a safe and supportive home for all mutants no matter who they are of their past crimes. Mutants have flocked to this new paradise, glad to free themselves of the hateful world they once lived in. Yet not all mutants are so eager to join this new nation, including the mercenary 'Darktruth'. But now a job has arrived at his door that will lead him to Krakoa, and force him to make a decision about what his future is going to be. Note- This is a new story starting off during the current 'Dawn of X' in the X-Men section of Marvel comics using some of my original characters. This is essentially a continuation of of fan-fiction I wrote on the old Marvel boards and more recently the Mickey's Tavern site, the latter where I've been posting this so far. It's a bit of a soft reboot, given some of these characters were left off in places that created problems for this story. I'll do my best to reintroduce all of my characters, and hopefully as I do I answer any questions for people who may have read my fan-fics before. This is an evolving story, meant for me to explore different ideas that are playing on my mind, particularly that grow from reading the comics. If this causes any inconsistencies as it goes (this is probably an ongoing story, with no set ending yet) I apologize, but will do my best to try and avoid that. Also this story will contain mature themes and events. I can't say exactly what it will contain so will give a general trigger warning, with specific ones on issues that dive into particular things. I just know I want to write a more raw story in the Marvel U, perhaps diving into things the comics can only touch upon due to their rating. Will try to update every two weeks or so, depending on the rest of my life. Maybe more frequently to start to catch up closer to where I've written.

Not so long ago, humanity fought the gods above them. The war against the Ethereals was long and bloody, and only the discovery of magic saved humanity from total annihilation. With the fusion of magic and technology, they clawed their way to a stalemate; in time, the war was over. Humanity had secured their freedom...or so they thought. The Ethereal War changed life on Earth forever. The world is now plagued by glyphstorms-- constant, magic-infused dust storms that drive those who linger too long to insanity. Traveling within them is thought to be impossible, and the only shelter comes in the form of magical shield domes over humanity's cities. Progress is rapid, yet isolated to pockets of civilization. In the same world where some people thrive, many others struggle, their spirits kept alive only by the hope of a better future. But the future is uncertain; until humanity can discover the secrets of shield tech and brave the storms that divide them, they will never be truly free. ------- This is a collection of short stories that take place within Solace, a fictional science-fantasy setting I have been working on since January 2025. A lone kitsune within an endless wilderness. The life of a Catastrophe Messenger is one of uncertainty. With no end in sight, they traverse the incredibly hostile landscapes that define Terra beyond the walls of the nomadic cities, collecting and delivering vital information for the survival of Terran civilization against the onslaught of devastating Catastrophes. The story follows Apollo, a kitsune-turned-Catastrophe Messenger, through the many areas and aspects of Terra that individuals outside his profession will never get to witness. All while ensuring his own survival among an environment where nature itself is out for blood. "It's all about saving lives. More lives." ...How naive. If only it were that easy. Deadly anomalies. Dangerous wildlife. Tensions between factions whose effects cannot be avoided, even in the middle of nowhere. And a haunting past. In short... business as usual. Time to get to work. This story is a bit like Arknights meets Death Stranding, since the job of a 'Catastrophe Messenger' and general situation is strangely similar to a 'Porter'. It will operate almost completely independently from the plot of the game itself. This story is thus aimed more towards readers who like to immerse themselves into a unique perspective of the world of Arknights and not into a recreation of the in-game plot. So if you like Arknights, but can't wrap your head around the game's plot, then this story should fit for you. (Definetly not an excuse for the fact that the author is just interested in the general worldbuilding itself and not the game's plot directly.) As such, mistakes are to be expected, for this is my first experimental dive into the world of Arknights. Feel free to correct them if found. The 'Mature' tag is only for occasional descriptions of injuries and blood, as Messengers often face dangerous situations that can cause injury and sometimes even death. These will not be constant and not extreme. Arknights belongs to Yostar.

This rescues the Squadron from their universe's fate and delivers them to a new universe. Here they soon learn that they now exist in the same universe as those responsible for the incursion that destroyed their universe. Spurred by the deadly results of the Scarlet Witch's multiversal actions, the Squadron has one objective on their minds: repairing the damage. By any means necessary. This is an original story within my Avengers universe that serves to introduce the Squadron Supreme and set up future events. My depiction of the Squadron Supreme will be taking several liberties so that they fit within the world I've built. Please note that this is an installment in an ongoing series.
