Indigo lives in a futuristic community called Wohlstand. The goal of this community is to create a nurturing environment where anyone can prosper. It is based on socialistic ideas that provide the residents with no jobs. But, in return for service, the residents are provided with housing, food, education, and other necessities. Indigo and her friends have only ever known Wohlstand. But when suspicion rises, it seems that what is provided is not satisfactory. When Indigo's questions cannot be answered, she begins to doubt the teaches of her society. Then, she learns of community outside of Wohlstand, past the boundaries that everyone obeys and does not pass. Refugees from the surrounding areas come, though, Indigo still searches for answers. Some of the most important people in her life come from the strangest places. But when she stumbles upon a long-hidden secret that has rocked her whole world, she must make a decision. Though, it might not be all that easy. When her important people suddenly disappear, the ones who have always been there for her seem even closer. Sometimes the nurturing community that you have been searching for has been eating dinner with you. Join Indigo in her journey for answers, confirmation, community, salvation, preservation, and the right people.

A product of NaNoWriMo. Evelyn Moore - daughter of the dreaded Ivy, must flee her past, her mother's lineage, and her village. Ivy was an admired healer, before the illness took over the village. The illness was incurable. Ivy and Evelyn struggled day and night, trying to rescue the sick. All who fall ill end up in a misty graveyard. They are driven to the woods and they build a small hut in the dense forest, barely living from day to day, but peacefully. That is, until the town's leader gathers enough men to track Ivy, and take her back to the village to be burned. Evelyn knows that she'll be next - being the only descendant of Ivy. She packs up her few belongings and gallops deeper and deeper into the woods until her eyelids fall, causing her to lose control of the horse, fall off of it and into a black abyss. When Evelyn wakes up, there are two midnight blue eyes staring back at her. Where is she? How did she get there? Why can't she remember anything? What is her name? Why does her head hurt so much?
