Two Roman gladiators become friends. They're pitted against each other in a fight to the death, but they choreograph the fight instead, so that it looks dramatic, but in reality is safe. One of them accidentally falls into the other's sword and dies, and the other has to learn to live without them (spoiler alert: they don't).
