Iris Donn is a young adult who is traveling the world like she said when she was told at the ripe age of 14 that she couldn't have kids. She has been through a lot and has been on a journey of healing since the age of 7. She was in Ireland planning her next trip until she got a call from her grandmother. Who knew that picking up that one call and making the decision to go back home to Idaho that it would leave her as a new mother and with the mission of saving a little boy from being buried in a ditch that has his name on it just like it had hers at one point in her life.
Milo Vlasov a 6-year-old boy who is trying to find were he came from to finally put his thoughts at rest. He is smart for his age, but his mom (iris) makes sure she reminds him and others that even though he's smart he's still just a kid. He is getting the life he wasn't granted up to the age of 4. Though his mother is showing him the light he can't help but have secret thoughts about where his real family is and why they gave him to those bad people.
Zinoviy Vlasov a man that had Russia in the palm of his hand. He was a man of little words, but he didn't need words to rule over anyone He showed that. He was a man that kept his emotions on lock and key until he accidentally got a whore pregnant. Even though he didn't want the woman he was happy to be having a kid. If only he knew what that woman had in stored. Zinoviy went mad when he saw the woman who he got pregnant in the hospital bed telling him that his son died. He didn't believe her and after 3 days found out she sold him. He didn't care for her even then.
