He put his hand on my cheek, "I won't let him harm you."
I turned my face away denying him, "I have to go with him. If I don't, she'll die."
"Anna," he said softly, "we can work our way around this. I can protect you. There has to be another way. I love you."
"I love you too, but this is much bigger than love, than all of us. I'm sorry."
In that moment he kissed me and I never wanted it to end but I knew it must. Every second was a dagger in my heart. When he pulled back, he wiped the tear off my face.
"I'm sorry." I repeated. With that I left.
