This is technically the fourth book in the series but you don't need to read the other ones to understand this one.
The asset's war is over. After a brutal, truth-shattering confrontation, the former HYDRA weapon has been named Ember and embraced by the Avengers, finally restored to her mother. There were three tanks behind them, ready to fire at any moment. We all looked at eachother before charging forward. I used the gun that hydra equipped me with to kill them. Bucky used a pistol he took from the Avengers tower, and Tony had his suit. Within the first five minutes, we had disposed of dozens of hydra agents. I nod my head, "I forgot to ask. What happened to your hand?" "Fell off a train in the mountains. HYDRA found me and gave me this metal one."
