Mike bit his lip, drawing blood. "You have every right to hate me. Why wouldn't you?"
"Mike..." I lifted my hand to his face, gently brushing a tear from his cheek. "I could never hate you. You're my best friend."
"But..." Mike tried to pull away from me.
"No. I'm serious." I wrapped my arms around him, pulling him into a hug, afraid to let go in case he tried anything again. "I don't hate you and I never will."

One night Will wakes up from a nightmare seeing and feeling Vecna and he doesn't want to be anywhere but back in Michael's room sleeping with him like when they were little. Because of Hawkins destruction and the "gates of hell" many people moved out of it. Hawkins is slowly being crept up upon by the upside down which is now making it's way into reality because of Vecna and there's only one way to stop it and Will knows it.
