In the heart of New Haven, a city full with life yet shadowed by uncertainty, change begins to stir. "The Gathering Storm" follows a diverse group of people whose lives intersect amidst the growing turmoil of the world. As natural disasters escalate and tensions rise, the signs of a crisis become hard to ignore. Despite her doubts, she feels something in her spirit, urging her to seek deeper truths about her faith and the world around her. David Chen, a journalist, uncovers evidence of corruption and manipulation in the government. His pursuit of the truth forces him to confront his own beliefs and the chilling stories he uncovers. Pastor John Mitchell, leader in the church, has long warned his congregation about the end times. As the signs he has preached about begin to manifest, he faces skepticism from those he seeks to guide, pushing him to rally his flock for what is to come. Maria Gonzalez, a college activist, is resistant to the idea of prophecy. However, as the chaos around her escalates, she finds herself questioning her beliefs and looking for answers that go deeper than social justice alone. As these characters navigate their struggles, they are drawn together by a series of strange events that challenge their faith.Every day, they witness the gathering storm-a world on the edge of the Great Tribulation. Together, they form a bond of support, holding secret meetings to discuss the biblical prophecies that are unfolding before their eyes. As uncertainty reigns, they must decide whether to remain passive or take a stand for their faith, knowing that the choices can alter the course of their lives forever. "The Gathering Storm" is a exploration of hope, resilience, and the power of community in the face of tribulation, setting the stage for a journey that will test their beliefs and redefine their faith in an increasingly chaotic world.

"The true light that gives light to everyone was coming into the world. He was in the World, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him. He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God--children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband's will, but born of God. The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth." (John 1:9-14) What that first Easter might have been like. The climax of God's plan for humanity, from Palm Sunday to Peter's reinstatement. Main title and chapter titles are from songs that I used to capture the mood of the moment, as it were, and I would really encourage you to listen to them. They are: Main title: "Glory" by The City Harmonic 1. without a crown: "Baby Boy" by For King & Country 2. the taste of eternity is here on our lips: "Taste of Eternity" by Bellarive 3. let me see redemption win: "Worn" by Tenth Avenue North 4. i heard a voice from the other side singing, "hold fast, love lasts.": "Without You" by For King & Country 5. when you know it, once you know it, and you hold it--it's unforgettable: "To The Dreamers" by For King & Country 6. keep my head from going down: "Something To Believe In" by Parachute 7. i could use a fresh beginning, too: "Learning to Breathe" by Switchfoot (cover by @sugarcrystals, who is amazing and you should really check out her work. Both writing wise and cover wise. I literally gave her "thunder storm themed" and she came up with that. Because I am useless at giving hints.)
