A plague has wiped out most of humanity. The survivors are few, and they are mostly gathered in various cities all over the world. However, it has been long enough since the plague that technology has continue on like it was before the plague, but on a much smaller scale. Val lives on an island with a huge city, called Arch. Arch is a perfect city that no one in their right mind would ever want to leave, but Val lives outside Arch in the land called Ater with her tribe. In an attempt to find a route off the island, Val and her friend, discover something else about the world they live in.

It's the year 2250. Humanity is facing the largest threat in all of history. Ever since it first arrived in 2020, the coronavirus has mutated and developed resistance to the antibodies. Every person now lives in fear of the mutated beings, Creepers, that come alive at night, devouring anything with a beating heart. Lizzy is no stranger to the affects of the virus. Her father and the love of her life were both taken from her and turned into the deranged monsters that lurk outside the dome. But when the president announces that they have found a serum that could repel the infection, Lizzy knows better than to hope. She wants nothing to do with the virus. But when she's drafted as one of the four to go and receive the serum, Lizzy has no choice but to accept. Going past the dome, walking thousands of miles through Creeper-infested ruins, then bringing back a serum that may not even work? It's a death sentence. But what other choice does she have? It all happed too fast and I guess even faster to me since my vision was blurred by my tears, as I saw three more soldiers I didn't even get to say goodbye ... ***** With a world threatened to the point of non existing , they turn to the survivors of the deadly plague for a life of breeding . They think the only way to save themselves is to create the next human race with the immune ability to survival. They will be stronger, tougher , the next generation formed to perfection. But will it really be that easy ? *** Andrea Hughes was left to fend for herself at the age of 18 when both of her parents died due to the plague . She's been on the run for almost a year , trying to escape the claws of the government, in need of carriers . She never quite got her head around why they needed her if the male population was going extinct but nevertheless didn't want to find out . A Country Life
Three hundred years after the fall, the known world is beginning to regain a semblance of order, with the sword the ultimate power once more. But not everything of old was lost, and there are some that will exert deadly effort to obtain what was left behind. Orphaned, plague-marked and mistrusted by the community he lives in, a boy must come to terms with the fact that he is different from everyone else, but is soon the focus of unwelcome and deadly attention. Separated from her father, a young girl has to learn to survive in a foreign land haunted by tribes of ghosts and roving bands of piratical thralls to a sadistic King. A watcher keeps lonely vigil from within a fortress that has been under siege for hundreds of years, while a soldier dies for the twenty-third time, and dies again while wondering if he is going mad. First started in 2015, this story is at 50k+ words, but was removed when a plotting hiccup was encountered. I now intend to split it into three parts, and this is the complete Part 1.
