A plague has wiped out most of humanity. The survivors are few, and they are mostly gathered in various cities all over the world. However, it has been long enough since the plague that technology has continue on like it was before the plague, but on a much smaller scale. Val lives on an island with a huge city, called Arch. Arch is a perfect city that no one in their right mind would ever want to leave, but Val lives outside Arch in the land called Ater with her tribe. In an attempt to find a route off the island, Val and her friend, discover something else about the world they live in.

Sanctuary. That was what the quarantine dome was supposed to be, a place of refuge from the N-Gel and the deadly Neoplague they unleashed on the world. But we aren't safe here. With a new generation of nanoids, stronger and smarter to fight the battle, the virus doesn't have a chance. Many attempts were made to create a man-made version of synthetic dopamine and each time the outcome was a disaster. Their goal is to create new generations, immune to the virus.
