He was born to Jolyne Lunastar, the great-granddaughter of Y/n Lunastar the First, and her husband, Basen Ieiri, a brilliant Japanese scholar. Their son, Y/n Ieiri, quickly proved to be something of a prodigy. In school, he was called a once-in-a-century genius - skipping third grade, then fifth, and later bypassing middle school entirely.

At fourteen, he took and passed the high school equivalency exam, rendering four years of education unnecessary. By fifteen, he was accepted into medical school. And by seventeen, his groundbreaking research earned him an award - along with an all-expenses-paid two-week trip to Cairo, Egypt, where he would observe and shadow doctors at one of the world's oldest hospitals.

It was during one quiet, sweltering Cairo night that everything changed.
Y/n was in a dimly lit museum, observing a grotesque birthing tool from the 17th century - all sharp iron and cruel intent - when he felt it: a presence.

A man stepped from the shadows.

He was hauntingly beautiful - blond hair shimmering under the faint light, a long scar carved across his neck, and a star-shaped birthmark on his shoulder that made Y/n's own crescent moon birthmark burn like fire.

The stranger smiled - soft, almost affectionate - and cooed.
