Every page closer~🕷️

She found the book on a cold, rain-stained shelf that shouldn't have existed anymore. No title on the cover, no author on the spine just a single, damp fingerprint on the first page.

It begins innocently: a journal of a boy named Elias who writes about a town no one remembers, a house with no doors, and a girl who always reads by the window. His words are tender, almost like love letters written for someone who hasn't met him yet.

But the strange part? The girl in the book starts doing what the reader is doing. When she flips a page, the girl in the story flips hers too. When she breathes in sharply... so does she.

Elias writes: "Every time you turn a page, I turn closer."

At first, it's poetic. Romantic. Then Elias starts mentioning things around her room. The color of her mug. The way her hair fell that morning. Words she didn't read yet are already written in her head.

Halfway through the book, Elias admits:
"I wasn't a ghost when I began writing this. I became one the moment someone started reading it."

The book isn't telling a story.
