Atop the mountains - Usagi x OC , AIB AU

Mirin Hitori, an aromantic and asexual female philosopher and author, finds comfort in silence. Her entire life, she had been alone, and so the silence is the only thing she finds familiar in this large world. Hitori typically wrote journalism, scribbling her thoughts and feelings onto paper when she struggled to speak them aloud.

Whereas, Usagi Yuzuha supported her the whole way. The two had been friends since school, having bonded over their loneliness. Yuzuha classified herself Hitori's best friend, having taken a liking beyond friendship to her. Yuzuha often had to cope with Hitori's push and pull attachment behavior, even if it was never ideal. Even if it hurt her, she would stay for Hitori.

And then, a horrible, unexpected wipeout of Tokyo occurs at the hands of a corrupt government. Can Hitori work through her complicated feelings and fix things with Yuzuha before the damage is irreversible? Before she loses the chance to make things right?
