Camden entered the world as a burden to her father, the bane of his existence. It was a miracle she was alive at all, her mother, Darcy, was told that her having children was impossible - unthinkable. But here Camden was, a walking miracle - or mistake, depending on who you asked. WCKD, however, saw the potential of young Camden.

'The potential cure', that's what they labeled kids like her. That's what they said to the parents to convince them to give WCKD their children. Camden's father gave her away quickly, her mother was hesitant but gave in at the end.

When she woke with her memories completely erased and encased in a metal crate, like a wild animal, her new life began. She emerged in the glade, no girl in sight.

But she grew used to it after a while, and the boys grew used to her. They were a family of sort - with a new member every month. They treated her differently than they treated eachother, like she was delicate. Something that couldn't be replicated.

Then when a new greenie shows up, a year and a half after Cam, everything changes.
