It'd been nearly two decades since the Kentucky Cult Killings, a story that was hidden just as quickly as it was found. Twelve girls were found dead in a ritualistic murder in 1996, with the help of one girl escaping and running to the police after they'd attempted to murder her too. One man and multiple women were convicted of murder, child abduction, and were sentenced long enough that they'd be in their nineties before they ever saw the outside of a prison again. Now, it was the year 2015, and that one man was getting released from prison. Genesis Cho was a social worker and living in the state of New York now, in a small town with pep named Riverdale. Assigned to the case of a young man named Jughead Jones, she learns about the murder of a teen boy and the involvement his father has with it. Despite FP Jones' addictive and destructive tendencies, she finds herself wondering what the man beneath it all is like. Now, she must navigate taking care of a moody teenager, figuring out her complicated feelings for a man she shouldn't be with, and dealing with the past she's tried so hard to forget about.
