Subduction

Subduction - The process that takes place at convergent boundaries by which one tectonic plate moves under another tectonic plate and sinks into the mantle of the Earth. Regions where this process occurs are known as subduction zones. Though rare, when these slips in the Earth's crust happen, the devastation causes conditions so extreme they stretch both imagination and nightmare.

The last major occurrence along the Cascadia Subduction Zone took place on January 26, 1700. When the next quake occurs, scientists expect the western portion of the North American continent to be decimated. The resulting forces will be felt as far inland as Colorado and the tsunami will cause destruction along all land that borders the Pacific Ocean.

In 2017, the first subduction quake in more than three hundred years struck the western United States. Aaron, an introverted, stranger than fiction, human is forced to make decisions that will reveal his past and his "graces" to the one person he's allowed into his quiet life. As society crumbles and burns around them, Aaron's exposure in their new world could save their lives or bring their end.

Will Aaron will find his way through the darkness and rise from the ashes or fall with the rest of society?
