This is a story I started writing a while back, on a different platform. I am working to rewrite it in a clearer RPG style. I originally wrote about 70 chapters. I will steadily work to rewrite these chapters and continue on the story.

Jace is the most notorious thief in New Syndralis, a nineteen-year-old prodigy living on the adrenaline of the perfect heist. His target: the impenetrable HexGate Corporation, where the data on Project Hermes-a groundbreaking AI-promises to be his ticket out of the shadows.
But Jace doesn't just steal the data; he steals a catastrophe.
Captured by a glowing artifact deep within the HexGate vault, Jace is imbued with a bizarre, game-like "Stealing System." Now, a cold, metallic voice guides him, enabling him to literally swipe anything-a guard's eyesight, access codes, even raw strength-to level up from a humiliating F-Rank.
To survive, Jace must embrace his new power. Breaking free of HexGate, he builds a team of high-tech allies to wage a secret war for the soul of the city. From brutal street gangs and powerful mobs to corrupt government officials, cyborgs, and mutants, every enemy is a chance to level up.
Jace was hired to steal a secret. Now, the System will make him the city's greatest weapon.

10 parts Complete

Every click, message, purchase, and movement feeds an invisible system of observation and control. Governments track us in the name of security. Corporations profile us in pursuit of profit. Artificial intelligence learns our habits, emotions, and weaknesses - and quietly decides what we see, think, and believe. This is not a call to paranoia. It is a call to attention. Because the walls of the Box are not made of steel or stone - they are built from data, compliance, and silence.
