A Mexican-American girl leaves her family for a place she knew they'd never go. She was on her way to Atlanta to start new, start fresh. What's her luck that she gets to Atlanta at the start of the apocalypse? She had been waiting for what felt like years in horrible traffic on the highway going into Atlanta, and she knew traffic, but this, this was different. It seemed like all of Georgia was trying to enter Atlanta. So she asked around, and turns out the virus she briefly heard about on the radio was way worse than she had thought. She was making conversation with some of the people in the cars around her to pass the time. .it was obvious we weren't going anywhere any time soon. When time seemed to switch as if life had gone in slow motion, even just for a moment, until it all came hurling back at her.
The city had fallen...

When the world ends and the dead start roaming the earth to eat the living, what exactly would you do? How would you survive? And when the living are just as dangerous, if not more so, who are you willing to put your faith and trust in to survive? Or is it best to brave this new world alone? For Y/n, the answer to these questions were simple. The only person she trusted in this world, both before it ended and after, was herself. As for surviving, she had her own ways and despite being from the city, she was rather...resourceful in the ways of survival. Unfortunately, luck is not always on your side when you need it most and she was stuck in Atlanta during the outbreak. In the chaos of death and the military turning its backs on the people they swore to protect, she had to find a way to survive all on her own. She eventually found her way out of the city and wandered the highway, figuring it was best to stay away from both people and the dead alike and take her chances on her own. She wandered for months and avoided both people and walkers at all costs. She stuck to the woods, hunting and living in them to survive, but little did she know, this small decision would sway her path in an unexpected way. By chance, she comes across a young girl in the woods, in trouble, injured and alone. Much like herself, the young girl was looking for someone, her mother and her group. Unwilling to leave the girl be, she decides to help the young girl find her family. Little did she know, this one decision would change everything... To trust a stranger and come together to survive, or brave it alone? To let others in, or save yourself from getting hurt? Y/n has a lot of choices ahead of her... And none of them will be easy.
