Jennifer sighs, dropping her hand from her book to scratch at her forehead instead as they walk, "Things between me and Harrington are... complicated."

"Complicated?" Barb repeats, perplexed, though her eyes soon widen beneath her round glasses as if she has jumped to the nearest possible conclusion from such a vague statement, "Oh God, not you too-"

"No," Jennifer shakes her head furiously, hand flapping to her side and eyes hardened in adamance, "Absolutely not. Not like that, no. Not like Nancy."

Barb continues to stare at her, confusion deepening as she awaits further explanation, one that Jennifer is too tired to even try to explain. Instead, she offers, "He's just... not who he used to be."
