This is a short story I wrote and never did anything with. I thought about continuing it and maybe finishing it as a novel but haven't gotten around to it yet. Principally, the story finds our protagonist's life turned upside down after being made into one of the undead. His last encounter with his wife and family wasn't pleasant and now he's stuck and full of regret. The tale might potentially continue with him seeking redemption, reconnecting with his family, and learning how to live with the cards he's been dealt all at the same time plotting to kill his master.
