Sloane Laurent is the face of fashion. Having just been named Model of the Year, she was on a high in her career. Nothing was stopping her. She has campaigns, photoshoots, galas, and runways lined up and is set to maintain her reign at the topic of the global fashion market.

One day, at a gala with her brand, Maison Céleste, she catches the eye of the NFL Golden Boy, Weston Carter. Weston is the face of the league, having led the Manhattan Sentinels to a near-perfect record during his rookie season. The quarterback was set to do it again during his second season too.

Both of them were winning in their careers, but the wins on the field were not enough for Weston Carter. For Sloane Laurent, her career was all she needed; she led and enjoyed a private life. Therefore, when Weston starts to make his moves on her, she immediately shuts him down, just like she does any other man. Still, his efforts stay prevalent, especially because he ends up doing fashion collaborations with her.

By the time Sloane shuts him down, the media has taken their chemistry and run with it, labeling them as the next big couple and drawing tons of unneeded attention on them... in large part, thanks to a jealous ex.

Sloane finds her career being threatened, all because of jealousy, and she must learn to lean on someone, which she has never done before. She was independent, but when she nearly loses her career because of a smear campaign, she finds that maybe she does need someone to lean on.
