Set in the Year of the Shining Mythal, 1501 DR, there is a quest to obtain the Obsidian Shard, an artifact thought lost to time long ago. The legends of the Obsidian Shard say it was created from the corrupted life force of an Archfey and can bestow the weilder with immeasurable power. As such many have gone searching for it, but none have ever found its hidden resting place, but now ancient powers are moving in the shadows seeking this power. A Thayan necromancer, long consumed by his quest for the Shard, a champion of the Feywild seeking to reclaim what was taken, a devil and her servant who's had her eyes set on the Obsidian Shard for centuries, and a creature damned to the Shadowfell and his unwilling vessel whom is desperate to break the bonds chaining her against her will, and a wizard who is the only one who might know the secrets they all need.
