Jessica Cortez has been brutally tortured by her mother ever since her father left, blamed for all her misfortunes and adversities. 

Death seemed like a reasonable release but the birth of her half sister compelled her to survive, keep her head down, and fight for the young girl to avoid her same seemingly sealed fate. 

Fight or flight was all she knew, until she met someone determined to modify things- permanently. 

Is perseverance and love enough? Or will the whips of slash party Wednesday be too much for our troubled heroine?

He was rude and had a terrible attitude, but his eyes didn't show anything but pain which is something she knew all too well. They are complete opposites but have one thing in common.
