Heirs of a starless sky

Nalo was born in a world that despises all things mana. Centuries ago, the eldritch gods became enraged for reasons unknown and plunged the world into darkness. The sky became starless, and the world was quiet yet but for the eyes that watch from the dark. Nalo was born as one of the few remaining (half blood) fanaticites (creatures pulled from fantasy or said to be because of their rarity), and as such-- being so sought after, he was sold by his own mother for the millions he fetched on the black markets. Nalo grew up in a quiet, secluded world of pain, needles, and tests that broke his very being, as the scientist, or so they called themselves, tried to rid him of all that made his existence possible. Yes, they were trying to purge him of the mana that flowed within his very veins.

His story only truly begins on a night unlike any other, the world dark yet adapted saw the first light in centuries blinding and loud and electric but nalo heard nor saw nothing while the world around him blew into chaos nalo was unconscious only waking days later to find the labs destroyed and a newfound freedom he knew nothing of what to do with, left to wander unknowing to try and find his way in a world he'd never seen and a world in chaos while he walk unknowing of the un-normalcy of what he now sees.
