The Lost Heir

Aila was found as a child - alone, mind swiped clean, and fatally injured - in the middle of the woods in a small town called Apep, Maine. Nineteen years later, she has left her overprotective adoptive family and came back to the place she was discovered in. She finds a lovely home and a great job, so perfect it had almost appeared to have been preordained. Everything seemed to be pointing her future in a bright direction.
Everything but for her landlord, who seemed to couldn't figure out whether she despised Aila or was terribly curious about her. That and the dreams, the ones that are beginning to feel a lot like memories...
