"I love you" is an overly used phrase... But why does it still give the butterflies when it is so commonly used? When those cringy, sickly-sweet love lines make some people roll their eyes, why does it make the others hearts pound ridiculously fast? Why?

"You're unbearable!" He kicks her with utter contempt. "Please tell me where I'm wrong, causing you discomfort was not my intention," she said crying, causing him to hit her against the ground again. "Do you think you can live with good intentions? Didn't you have all the time you wanted to change and learn? You still dare to ask for more!" He yells at her with hatred, he blamed her for being the one will cause a woman to be beaten; He didn't want to be that kind of man. However, what he lived with her caused him to bring out what he hated the most about himself from within. -Forget it love- said a woman who was next to her- it's not worth it- this dog was supposed to be her friend, she was supposed to support her just like she did; however he managed so that he and she hated each other and thus be able to steal it. The woman on the floor does not know how much she was framed and harmed by her naivety, nor did she know that this was the beginning of her misfortunes. Because of that woman she did not stop suffering, wherever she went she suffered verbal or physical abuse and everything was orchestrated by this woman; she didn't know until she was about to faint. "Why?" She asked this unarmed woman without knowing why she hated him so much. She never did anything to hurt him. She just laughed viciously without answering him, she didn't have to waste her time with an insect; leaving La to die imprisoned in the house where she was kidnapped. "Answer me!" The Girl who Never Noticed.
I don't know what to feel towards him. My brain -my heart- gives me mixed feelings about him: every time our eyes lock, I feel warm inside. Every time we talk, I feel myself drown into feelings; nervousness, shyness. I'm not sure. And every time he casually walk into my mind, my stomach squeezes lightly with butterflies which I cannot justify. Yet, he makes me cry myself to sleep, he makes me overthink myself to sleep. Not that he said or did anything, it's the confusion that makes me ache. Sometimes even the butterflies and sparks hurt me, the thought of him tightens my chest with ache, as confusion crawls my skin. We're friends, but he shows mixed signals that confuses me. That's just one side of the story. The other side is suffering too, he's been in love with Evelyn ever since he laid eyes on her, but she just saw Zachary as a friend. I felt a hand under my chin and then I was looking right into Aiden's eyes. "You know that I care about you, right?" He used the same hushed tone. Aiden cared about me? "Can you forget about me...?" I asked him as we stood in the frozen night. He shook his head. I smile, "Well, in that case..." I pause to step back a bit and look up at him. "I'm sorry...," With that, I fall back and into the river. All I could feel was the icey water slowly filling my lungs and then... 𝐃𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬. I never meant for him to fall in love with me. However, when I woke up, I woke up in a white room, "A hospital room...?" I thought to myself. I look around wondering how and why I was here...and then I see him... right next to me. I slightly frowned and tried to get up. He gently placed a hand on my shoulder, urging me to lie back down. I fought against him, trying to get away from him. But he held me firmly, his eyes filled with concern and love. "Please, calm down. You scared me when you fell into the river. I thought I had lost you," he whispered, his voice breaking with emotion. I stopped struggling and looked into his eyes, seeing the pain and fear that I had caused him. I then looked down as I said, "I thought I'd make it easier for you." His face paled. "What do you mean?" he asked, his voice barely above a whisper. I took a deep breath and confessed, "I never wanted you to fall in love with me." I say. He looked at me in shock, his grip on my shoulder loosening. "Why would you say that? Why would you think that would be easier for me?" he asked, his voice filled with confusion and hurt. I closed my eyes, unable to meet his gaze as I replied, "Because I don't deserve your love. I'm not who you think I am." He sat there in silence, processing my words. And then, without warning, he leaned in and kissed me softly on the lips. I pulled away, stunned by his action. "I don't care who you think you are. I love you, for you dumbass," he said.

I put on a show only for him in front of hundreds of people.
