Milly is a normal 16 year old girl who loves her life, until she was taken away from her parents after they died. She was sent to live with her grandma. A lot of stuff has happened since then. She started going to a new school and was being bullied. Her grades also got worse. To top it all off her grandmother dies and she was sent away to foster care. She went from family to family for 2 years. Now that she is 18 she still hasn't been adopted so she stopped with the foster care and used the money she has saved over the year from work and rented a apartment. For a girl living alone, 18 years old, life is hard, but with Millys luck, it's worse. (Completed)

I have restarted this book. I wanted to make it easier to read and more enjoyable. I hope to make shorter chapters and update frequently. :) In the beginning Sylar has no name. No one cares. She's just another kid to fall into a system because she was an unwanted mess. A child that doesn't talk? Yea, no one care about that either. A shady group home filled with bullies and secrets? Yea, you guessed NO ONE CARES! To find friends in a place like this is unlikely. This place is built to feed off the fears of kids and their lack of parental role models. No one holds on to dreams for long in a place like this. You get placed here and you are as good as forgotten. Except when a couple shows up looking as out of place as an astronaut in a gold mine or a miner in space whichever one you prefer. This couple comes and shakes things up. Good or Bad has yet to be decided...only someone's bound to get hurt, someone's bound to be broken. The only question is will the wounds heal or fester and kill?

You get good grades, deal with the bullying and attempt to forget the past. But there are things an everyday nerd, such as myself should clearly not do. One: Don't crush on the most popular girl in school. Two: Be sure not to get sidetracked in your studies by including yourself in electives and such. Three: Don't get superpowers. Now what to do when, possibly, you might have done all the following listed above? This wasn't like a test where I just knew the answer.
