Jax grinned "Every time she looks at me, you stiffen like your plastic heart's about to crack. You hate that she might actually like me more.." he sneered. Ragatha scoffed, "You don't deserve her! You hurt everyone who gets close, but Pomni isn't a toy, Jax!" He shot a glare at her, "You think just because YOU play nice, you win her heart by default?? That's not how it works." he snapped. Her eyes narrowed at him, "Were you... spying?" she inquired. "Spying? Nah. Just enjoying the show. You and Pomni, it's like watching a rom-com," a smirk formed on his face "She was thanking me, Jax. For being supportive. Something you wouldn't understand" "Supportive? Please! You're clinging to her, it's obsession and Pomni is just too oblivious to notice," he argued. "Every time she smiles at me, your whole act cracks. You think I don't see it?" "She doesn't even know who you really are, Ragatha! Behind all that fake kindness, you're just as broken as the rest of us.." Jax shot back, turning away. "And you think you know her better? All you do is confuse her.
