The world is no longer the same. Eons have passed, the age of Man is almost at an end. The Convergence fused continents, forming a singular land mass. The supercontinent New Pengia is all that remains of the old world. The Fall divided the Earth into True North and True South, separated by the Anomalous Veil. Only the enigmatic Strangers, cursed by the Titan Oroboros, can navigate this boundary, guiding travelers through the Veil's secrets as they carry out their eternal duty - The Endless Hunt.
Near-unkillable Gods wearing human skin roam the Earth. Strange beasts slumber in even stranger places. Unncanny regions hold secrets of lost times and hidden worlds.
The Chosen wage their ageless war against the Elysians; Titans slumber beneath the Earth and beyond the skies, granting blessings and curses to those who reveare and worship them. Some seek them out for their blessings, others hunt them for their curse.

Trepidation: Act 1
10,000 years in the future, humanity has long since inhabited a region of space simply known as the "Habitable Zone of the Milky Way," or simply the "Habitable Zone." Many advancements have been made, though many are irrelevant to the billions - or perhaps more - of souls scattered across space. Everything operates under the silent, vague, but present scrutiny of the gods, with thaumaturgic talents dominating many human cultures in some capacity. Churches reign over the post-Altarum territories a century after the Silence. The World, at least as far as many within the Habitable Zone are concerned, is a cold, thoughtless plane of existence. It is within a single vessel, known as the CSS Groundskeeper, do things begin to influence the "Things To Be," as labeled by followers of the pantheon. Within this ship, two individuals will face the beginning of what is to be unimaginable horrors within an unforgiving universe, both with the same goal: do not succumb to the darkness. Trepidation: Act I is the first story in what is to be a much longer novel detailing the story of two individuals in the cold universe. Act I may contain disturbing content for some readers. Nothing in my life had ever made sense. They told me it was normal, I'd grow into who I was supposed to be, that things would get better; here I am now, going through the motions and wondering if this was really what I was destined to do for the rest of my life. Turns out, it wasn't. Nothing in my life had ever made sense but that was because my memories were fractured, pieces of a person I used to be, one I used to know lurking in the shadows of my dreams. I was just a normal guy trying to navigate the world but saying yes to everything and falling into the same monotony just wasn't cutting it anymore. I had a steady job, a pretty girl seemed interested in me and my 22nd birthday was coming up just before Christmas to give me something to look forward to. That all changed when I remembered her. I'd never forgotten her truly, blue was the only thing I knew and that Neptunian shade was so striking it stuck with me from the night she screamed at me in the rain but it wasn't until I found all the papers, the notes and crystals that I started to remember the world she lived in. One that wasn't my own and that had so much more to offer. It sounded crazy but I knew it was real and getting there, finding her and fixing the bridge that I'd unwittingly burned was going to be hard but I was ready to be more than a desk jockey typing my life away. I wanted to see the orange skies instead of the blue and find her sitting in a field of crystals again, staring at the stars.Complete
