What sets November Hoffman apart from any other awkward, nerdy teenager, is that she was born with the ability to look at any area of space and immediately hear the conversations going on. She knows about the feud between the Hurns and the Talenes, she knows about the Vandermillians hatred for earth. But what she doesn't know is how to deal with change. Much less how to get in a plane with her best friend Ian and travel to England to get the necessary supplies to leave earth, and when their trip takes a turn for the worst they find themselves in great company whilst in one of the strangest and most mentally challenging experience of their lives.

I heard you're a player. So let's play a game. Let's sweet talk. Let's play fight. Let's talk 24/7. Let's tell each other good morning and good night every day. Let's take walks together. Let's give each other nicknames. Let's hang out with each others friends. Let's go on dates. Let's talk on the phone all night. Let's hold each other. Let's kiss and hug. And whoever falls in love first? Loses. If you asked anyone to describe Avery Harrison in three words, everyone would say; sarcastic, care-free, and stubborn. Everybody tends to love her, why? Because she's fun and always has something hilarious to say... Unless she doesn't like you of course, then you might call her; snide, sharp and bitchy. If you did the same with Hunter Matthews it would definitely be: hot, gorgeous, beautiful, and nearly everyone would miss the slight detail that he's a player. That one slight detail is the entire reason Avery hates him, he threw girls away like old tissues, why would she? But with one scheming best friend, they are both pushed into playing 'The Game' with a prize for whoever wins. They pretend to date and whoever falls, loses. The question is: who will lose, the girl against love or the player?l
