Following the harrowing events of The Scorch Trials, this story picks up during the chaos of The Death Cure-but with a fresh perspective and a new character. When Thomas and the group find temporary refuge with the resistance group, The Right Arm, their safety is shattered by a sudden WICKED ambush. From Cassie's viewpoint, we experience the desperate struggle to save Minho and the harrowing realization that sometimes even courage isn't enough. Alone behind enemy lines, Cassie must confront WICKED's darkest secrets and summon every ounce of strength, all while grappling with her loyalty to her friends and her unspoken feelings for Thomas. Will she survive the peril, or will WICKED claim more than just her friends?
