Once New Orleans became infected with the "Dark flu" everything changed. School became a doctors appointment and adults beame freakishly worried parents. Just as everyone was getting used to the daily checks, the flu suddenly became deadly. But not everyone is staying dead. Carmen, a normal 17 year old student become's a leader of a group of scared teenagers defending themselves against the walking dead, while trying to stay alive and find safe ground, Romace sparks, voilence grows and friendship becomes the only upperhand. No one could fully trust her, not that it'd matter anyway because Dream trusts no one except herself. So, when they receive a message which sends them to the very top of the hotel. Floor 31. They are forced to fight and kill zombies and monsters just for a chance of safety. But does this 'safety' even exist?

However, they have different names now. The Ringleader - The Bearer The Samurai - The Guardian The Archer - The Improviser The Batter - The Runner The Kid - The Medic Mutants are creatures that look human but have one distinct characteristic that proves their true from. It's their eyes. Look into an abyss of blues with rows of symbols circling around the pupil to know the truth. The only way to beat them is to destroy the heart. Once found out, the mutants turn to their real form. They become beasts of legend. Serpants that dwell deep in the sea. Lizards that grow in size and take flight to the skies. Hounds that double or triple in size and spew the elements. And many more shapes, colors, and sizes. Once transformed the heart is shown involuntarily, simply dangling around the neck like a pendant. Rumors have been flying ever since a group of scientist in the Feet City who were capable on the unsuccessful attempt of the nuclear experimentation. Due to the corrupted experiment, unexpectedly it leads to a nuclear breakage which causes the ejection of harmful chemicals and results to genetic mutation. Somehow, the genetic mutation generated the abnormal DNA disorder of human beings and caused them to become a flesh eating people. But the thing is that people didn't believe and just ignored the whole conspiracy. They continued their works, daily routine and basis. And there goes a class of Grade 10 Gethsemane students went to school, not expecting a big nuclear explosion that ejected a nuclear smoke and covered the entire campus. After inhaling the smoke, they've lost their consciousness for about two weeks and woke up founding out that their fellow schoolmates were gone. The class of Grade 10 Gethsemane were the only people in the whole campus left alive which confused them so much. Eventually, they believe and concluded that apocalypse is really happening. So they stick together to plan something out from the most feared zombie apocalypse. Society is crumbling. Zombie apocalypse is happening. Who would've know that Call of Duty Zombies, YouTubers, and reality, don't mix well together. I figured this out as soon as the apocalypse hit. My names (Y/N). I'm a 21 year old girl that loved to play video games and make videos about it then and post it to YouTube, well I did before this hit. My YouTube name was The Gaming Theory (Not associated with my other book!) I had around 3 million subscribers and was living a damn good life in Los Angeles. Then...... It all just went away, just like that. No one knows how. No one knows why, it all just happened. Now, I'm fighting for my own survival against the undead. That was until I met a group of guys, and that changed everything for my survival. I'm very bad when it comes to descriptions, but when it comes to the actual book, that's when things heat up! The school started off as any other school year for Autumn Winters. But at the worst possible moment an outbreak occured and the whole school turned into chaos. Autumn and her misfit group of friends make it out of the school, trying to fight for their lives as the people they once knew and maybe even loved tried to bite at their flesh. The group met new people and made new friends, as well as making even more enimies as if them all being stuck with eachother wasn't bad enough. The question is, will the group of misfits survive long enough to be rescued from this mess? Or will some fail to survive or die horribly trying?

Or, I guess you could say that they are somewhat alive. They're living, after all. They're the living dead. I'm so stupid. I should have be faster, I should have noticed.
