Ryland has never really fit in. From a completely absent father, to a mother who is never home trying to provide for her family, life has always been very lonely. On top of that, Ryland has 1 friend, her brother who is away at college, and is the outcast of the school. Her Bipolar diagnosis makes it hard for her to open up to others and has got her into trouble 1 to many times. After a failed suicide attempt Ryland vows that next time it will work, all she has to do is make it to her 17th birthday. Just when she thinks she successfully ended it all she wakes up in the same hospital as before but this time she has an unwanted companion in Harry Styles, the schools resident bad boy. As their time together in the hospital drags on they realize maybe they have more in common than they thought. There was before the hospital. There was during the hospital. But what does the future hold for the two after they are done?
