I wrote this poem after reading Rudyard Kipling's "Boots," which captures the exhaustion and madness of war. His words stuck in my head-the rhythm, the repetition, the hopelessness. I wanted to respond to that-how even today, the same cycle continues. My poem is about realizing that war doesn't end when the fighting stops; it echoes in minds, families, and history. It's a protest, a reflection, and a question: Why do we still choose war?
