"Why did you go with him?" he asked, eyes narrowing.
"I- I just... he asked me to show the village, bava, and- ahh..."
Her words broke into a gasp as his fingers pinched her waist hard.
"Didn't I tell you to stay away from him, Ammu?" he said, his voice was low but laced with anger.
"Bava... it hurts..." she whimpered, but he didn't stop.
The pain burned through her skin, her cries fading into silence. In desperation, she bit his shoulder to stifle her scream.

His grip didn't loosen,

When he finally released her, his shoulder was bruised black, her bite marks deep and clear. Her waist throbbed in pain, the skin already turning purple.
