You've been Cardinal Copia's assistant for a while now. Over time, the two of you have grown very close. What started as a simple friendship has slowly turned into something more - but you're both too shy to admit your feelings for one another. Lately, an Italian song seems to be stuck in Copia's head. You often catch him humming or softly singing it under his breath. Curious about its meaning, you ask him - and his answer marks the beginning of something beautiful.

Rose and Terzo. The childhood best friends who were destined for each other; everyone could see it. But their seemingly unbreakable bond was shattered, and the friendship they swore would last a lifetime crumbled amidst the struggles of their teenage years. After a failed romance, the two of them went their separate ways. Rose was a high-flying scholar, studying multiple degrees in her home town of France. Whilst the death of Terzo's mother left him a hollow, empty shell of the man he used to be. Now reunited by duty, Rose returns to the ministry not just as his assistant- but volunteering as his pretend Prime Mover. As they return to his mother's abandoned villa in Sicily, where they once spent sun-drenched summers as children, the past unearths old memories, buried grief, and love that might not have died after all. Were they always meant to fall apart, or is love worth the thorns along the way?
