"I want you to go to Skyrim, boy.... I want you to see it with your own eyes.... I want you to live there. And when you do... build a life worth keeping. It is your home, just as Cyrodiil was..." "Listen well, son. This world rewards those who see its truths, not just those who seek glory. So I want you to raise your head with reason, keep your wits about you, and be aware of your surroundings. That way, the wolves will pass you by." These words still etch themselves deep in the mind of Drage Født. He wasn't like the other kids, often writing and sketching in the journal gifted by his Imperial father, some pages dedicated to the stories his Nord mother would tell him. About Ysgramor, about Shor, and about the Dragonborn. Now; in 4E 201, the quiet 21 year old Nord decides to honour his mother's last wish, and find a home in Skyrim.... Problem is, the land is much more unforgivable than expected, as if the cold or wildlife couldn't kill you, being in the crossfire of the Civil War will. Not only that, but there are looming threats to Tamriel at large; from a vampire threat, the return of a ghost from the past, and the literal end of reality. But we all know that Drage Født isn't a regular Nord.

Throughout Tamriel, many heroes have come and gone, many of them boasting great legends to go along with their heroic deeds. The legendary Ysgramor conquered all of Skyrim, the Hero of Kvatch ended the Oblivion Crisis, the Vestige bested a Daedric Prince in combat, Cyrus the Restless brought peace to Stros M'Kai, Tiber Septim conquered all of the known world. None of them, however, can quite match the legends and myths that surround the Last Dragonborn, the slayer of the World-Eater. Though Alduin has been gone for many centuries, the Dragonborn's stories continue to fascinate and inspire scholars and hopeful heroes alike. ------- So, I've used the Dragonborn in question for a few stories, but never anything set purely in the Elder Scrolls universe itself, and as such, I'm gonna try something a little different from my usual stuff. This will read much like any biographical text, or at least, that's my goal, detailing the life of the Dragonborn, being written by an unknown author. Book cover comes directly from the in-game book of the in-game title. The books makes frequent mentions of lore-friendly mods on the Xbox One version of Skyrim. I know I've written something like this before, but I had some new ideas for it and I wasn't entirely sure how I wanted to squeeze them in without screwing up his timeline, so I felt a rewrite was in order. Hope you enjoy!
