Let's just say Jax Teller and Melody Mikaelson were never going to be friends. They were a total disaster waiting to happen ever since they met back in high school.
Jax decided immediately that Melody, with her put-together girly clothes and perfect smile, was his favorite punching bag. He'd bully her constantly, making her feel like a naive outsider.
But Melody wasn't afraid to fight dirty. She hit him right where it hurt, talking major trash about his family and the whole Sons of Anarchy life, thinking she was untouchable because she had a perfect family.
Big mistake.
Turns out, Melody's perfect life was a total lie. Her parents died in some mysterious way, leaving her with just her brother. Jax finds this out later, but that's just the tip of the iceberg.
He uncovers another secret-something so massive and screwed up-that it stops being fun and games. Suddenly, Jax isn't just annoyed by her; he feels a deep, cold hatred that makes him genuinely think about putting her in the dirt.
Their animosity is pure, toxic fire. But in Charming, sometimes the line between wanting to kill someone and desperately wanting to kiss them just... vanishes.
They both thought this intense hate would destroy the other, but neither of them saw what it was actually going to turn into.

To add to that, Paisley also had a daughter, that demanded a lot of her time. She loved her daughter, but her family didn't seem to care that her daughter needed so much attention. They still expected her to do what they needed her to do, when they needed her to do it. She was feeling like she was being pulled apart at the seams. She tried to balance baking and her family life, but it wasn't easy, especially when she got a new neighbor. The new neighbor was very attractive, but he was also someone her family definitely didn't approve of. *********** Sam Wilson had just finished his last tour in the Air Force, and he wanted to have some time away from everything. He had just lost his best friend, and he didn't know what to do with his life. He needed some time to think and ground himself in some way, which was why he moved to Charming.
