They said ghosts haunt that street, said my dad.
I paid it no mind-until my sister decided now was the perfect time to chase a stray puppy and the streetlights started dying one by one.
Next thing I know, we're lost in the hood, my phone's dying, and I'm dragging this kid who thinks "traffickers" is a type of job. All while trying not to think about my mom, who bailed with "good intentions" and left the rest of us to figure it out.
This isn't a ghost story. Not really. It's more like a bad family trip through hell-with some paranormal side quests, a bunch of arguing, and one big question I can't shake: what's actually haunting us... the street, or everything we never said to each other?
If we make it back to the gas station alive, maybe I'll have an answer.
