When a daughter returns home after years abroad studying medicine, she expects comfort - the familiar rhythm of her mother's voice, the security of belonging. Instead, she finds a woman she barely recognizes.

Her mother, now entering menopause, is tired, irritable, and constantly unwell. Small things turn into arguments; love sounds like blame.
The daughter, once the quiet, obedient one, now cries at every sharp word, caught between reason and longing. She keeps trying - helping, apologizing, understanding - but nothing seems enough.

"The Season Between Us" is a story about two people who love each other more than anyone else in the world, yet can't seem to live in peace under the same roof. It's about how the body changes, how love ages, and how closeness can sometimes hurt more than distance.

Love is strange. It exists in many forms and is one of the key components that makes humans happy, but there isn't a lot of understanding surrounding it. At least not the kind of understanding with which the average person identifies. Agnes is one of the few people that can accept all kinds of love. Despite her dated name, she is a woman in her late 20's dealing with the death of most of her family. She's now stuck in the middle of figuring out how to raise children that she never saw in her future and deciding what love means for her, when it has to exist within layer upon layer of complication. She let go of her boyfriend after almost a decade because their love wasn't meant to exist under the strain of children, only to find herself confronted with the overpowering connection of her old high school sweetheart. The same man she ran away from because their values hardly aligned when it came to how love should be expressed long term. Within the midst of learning how to raise children and balance her ever-building career, Agnes tries to recover from her mother's death, seek comfort without complicating her circumstance, and figure out why her mother would name her Agnes. Finding real comfort starts to feel impossible, as her most available options are her ex-boyfriend and her assistant. Completed! Rejected 6 times** "This one just isn't for us." By far the most plain rejection I have ever received and I can respect it. 1/22/2022 - 1K 9/28/2022 - 10K

The Space Between Us

26 parts Complete Mature

The Space Between Us follows the emotional journey of two people, Ava and Wes, who come from different worlds but find a powerful connection in each other. When they first meet, it's clear that their lives are at different stages-Ava is rebuilding her life after loss, while Wes is looking to leave behind his past mistakes. As their relationship deepens, they struggle with the gaps between them-emotional distance, unspoken fears, and the weight of their individual histories. Despite their differences, they begin to navigate the delicate balance of intimacy and vulnerability, learning to overcome the space between them, one moment at a time. The story unfolds as they confront their personal demons, face relationship challenges, and learn to trust each other in ways they never thought possible. The Space Between Us is a story of love, healing, and the quiet battles fought within the heart, filled with slow-building romance and emotional depth. It's about two souls who must bridge the distance between them, not just physically, but emotionally, to find the connection they both need to heal and thrive.
