Death Strike

"He said something about a creature about six feet tall and ten or twelve feet long, with a long tail and sharp teeth. He talks about it being faster than any animal he's ever seen. He claims it was covered in scales. The poor old man is going insane."

I looked at the tunnel warily. Something felt off. I couldn't tell if it was the cobwebs that were everywhere and my arachnophobia was kicking in, or...
The birds weren't chirping.
I took it all in in half a second.
Crunch.

Kolin is just an ordinary kid when he stumbles upon the discovery of a lifetime in his neighborhood. He finds a creature that was thought to have gone extinct millions of years ago, and the discovery puts his family and friends in danger.
