Starkiller was Vaders secret apprentice, meant only for killing off the rest of the Jedi who survived Order 66. But before him, there was another. A failed apprentice who managed to escape the clutches of Vader and go into hiding, like the Jedi she was trained to hunt. 
She remains in hiding, having fled from the Empire and all it stands for. Being discovered by General Rahm Kota and trained by him in the Jedi ways, the mysterious apprentice has now become a ghost story among both sides. Her training of both the dark and light sides of the force has led her to find a serene balance, more powerful than any before her.
It is only when Vader sends his new apprentice, Starkiller, after her that she soon realizes that she may not be alone in this cold dark universe.
