"I'm Yunho. Jeong Yunho. What's your name?"
The boy tried to think, his mind a fog of pain and emptiness. A name, a place, a memory-anything. But there was nothing, just a void where his life should have been. He shook his head, his eyes filling with tears as the weight of his own ignorance crushed him.
Yunho's face fell, his brows knitting together. "You don't know? That's... okay, that's okay." He reached out, his warm fingers wrapping gently around the boy's cold, trembling hand. "We'll figure it out. How about... Mingi? Does that sound good? I think it suits you."
The boy-Mingi, now-tried to repeat it. "M-M..." His voice cracked, a hoarse whisper that dissolved into another wheeze. He coughed, pain flaring in his chest, and Yunho's grip tightened, steadying him.
"Hey, don't push it," Yunho said, his thumb brushing soothing circles over Mingi's knuckles. "Mingi's a good name. You can borrow it for now, yeah? Until we figure out the rest."
