Elena Kyriakou has built her life around the one thing she can't control - the sea.

When a strange signal begins pulsing from the depths off the coast of Cyprus, she's sent home to investigate. Two decades have passed since she left those waters behind, but returning stirs more than memory. The island hasn't forgotten her, and neither has the sea.

During a midnight dive, a storm drags her under. In the seconds before the dark closes in, she glimpses a flash of light and a figure moving through the current - and then nothing.

She should have died. Instead, she wakes on the shore, pulled from the waves by Atlas Demetriou, a man whose name she half-remembers and whose presence unsettles everything she thought she knew.

After that night, the sea begins to change.
Currents shift when she swims. Instruments falter when she listens. And the signal that brought her back seems to be calling for her alone.
