Abby thought making a short film for media class would be just another box to check - another project to survive, not feel. Then she gets paired with Maxine Baker. Max, with her too-bright laughter and soft chaos. Max, who makes even the ordinary feel cinematic. Between late-night editing sessions, stolen glances across cluttered desks, and a camera that always seems to catch too much, the line between their project and their lives starts to blur. The film becomes a mirror - one that shows them not just who they are, but who they're becoming. As Abby's carefully curated walls begin to crack - her family's divorce, old heartbreaks, the fear of being truly seen - Max refuses to look away. And somewhere between takes, friendship turns into something tender, terrifying, and real. It's not a love story they planned. But it's one the camera can't stop recording.
