Nyssa Cloudberry has always preferred keeping to herself. Partially deaf and painfully shy, she's more comfortable helping others than being the center of attention. Life in Hobbiton-and especially at Bag End-is peaceful, predictable... safe.

Then Gandalf shows up with a company of dwarves, led by the proud, stubborn, and impossibly intimidating Thorin Oakenshield. Suddenly, Nyssa's quiet world is thrown upside down. She ends up looking after the company, keeping them fed, comfortable, and surprisingly sane, all while navigating the chaos of their quest.
