It was the first rain of June.
Mumbai smelled like wet earth and possibilities. Aarav pulled his jacket tighter as he rushed toward the bus stop, irritated at the downpour that ruined his new shoes.

Then he saw her.

A girl twirling under the rain, her long hair sticking to her face, laughing as if she owned the storm. Everyone was running for shelter - but she... she looked free.

Aarav couldn't look away. Something in that laugh - raw, unfiltered, alive - hit him like lightning.
She caught him staring.

"Don't just stand there!" she called out, smiling. "Come dance or you'll miss the best part of the rain!"

Aarav shook his head, pretending to be annoyed. "You're crazy!"

"Maybe," she said, grinning, "but at least I'm happy."
