Katharine Heissé Velasquez, a working college student, was a provincial girl who went to Manila to study and work. Katharine is kind, yet can come across as rude and cold, which is why everyone in her school is scared of her. But, she's also got a good heart and good manners.

In the university she going to transfer, she'll meet Ozaiduz Yvan Zovralle, the basketball captain and engineering student. Ozaiduz looks like a bully, a snob, and is always serious because of his looks, but he's actually a playboy, smart, and kind too. When he meets Katharine, he finds her interesting because of her rudeness, so he always annoys her just to get her attention.
