Everyone on Sugar Avenue smiles. The lawns are trimmed, the mailmen wave, and families look perfect - at least from the outside.
Fifteen-year-old Mary has lived here her whole life. She's used to the strange things - the whispers, the odd smiles, the way people act like tragedy is just part of the routine.
But when her aunt comes to visit and incidents at school turn darker, Mary starts realizing that perfection might be the most terrifying thing of all.
Because on Sugar Avenue... sweetness always hides something rotten.
